Thebacha Loppet


 Thebacha Loppet - Saturday, March 4th, 2023

We are excited to be hosting you on the traditional territories of Smith Landing First Nation, who now maintain this historic trail that is also part of Canada's Great Trail Network. Started in 1973 this is the oldest loppet in Western Canada, and is set on a historic portage trail that bypasses the four sets of unnavigable rapids on the Slave River at the Alberta-NWT border.


2023 Early Bird Discount Thebacha Loppet Participant Fees in effect until Friday, February 17 

Full Thebacha Loppet (27.6km): Adult: $35 ($50 after Feb 18) 

or Halfway Thebacha Loppet (10.3km) or Mountain Portage - Ski Club Loppet (5km): Adult $35 ($50 after Feb 18)

Youth 11-18 years old and college/university students (any distance): $20

Children 10 and under ski for FREE but must be accompanied by an adult skier.

Full Adult Loppet fees go up to $50 as of February 18!
